Still Life is a collection of portraits and still lifes taken over a 20 year period. For me there has always been a connection between the two: for both, I approach in the spirit of making an arrangement of my subjects – composing them for their inherent qualities of contour, form, and color thereby reducing the sitter or objects to their essence and ‘stopping’ them in time.
